A genuine thank you to all our customers who helped make 2007 our busiest year yet. In the seven days before Christmas the brewery sold over 25000 pints a Christmas record. We wish you all a prosperous year.
Our first batch of Death or Glory in bottle sold out before Christmas. The beer was very well received and the comments from the Queen’s Lancers where very complimentary. Colonel Richard Nixon said “Definitely worth the wait. It tastes fantastic and looks extremely smart with it’s special label”. The next brew is expected to be in bottle in early February.
You may have read in the papers or heard on the news that two principle ingredients for brewing beer, malt and hops, are in short supply in the UK and that this has driven up the price of these ingredients by approx. 40% and 300% respectively. It has been quoted that beer in pubs could go up to as much as £4 a pint - this is somewhat of an exaggeration. At Tring Brewery, we have been working very hard with our suppliers to keep our price increase to a minimum and also to ensure that we will have hops for this year (some small brewers may not!) .

Pump clip artwork and the stories behind each of these exciting new ales will be updated over the coming months.
