Cask Ale Week
Being held from March 29th to April 5th, cask ale week is a great opportunity to celebrate our national drink. Although, we need to finalise our plans we will be brewing a new special ale which will be available in local pubs. We will publish in which pubs the beer is available and hold a competition for how many of these pubs you manage to visit. Obviously, you don’t need to have a pint in each, a half will do! Look out for full details of the competition in the March updates.

Luton Beer Festival
We are one of the sponsors of this years Luton Beer festival. At the festival, you will be able to find our Brock Bitter, Signal Box Brown Ale and the award winning Colley’s Dog.
For those who have not been before, it is only a very short distance from Luton station and it is a great venue. More details can be found on the South Beds CAMRA site - click HERE

Go Side Pocket
Later this month we will find out if Side Pocket wins best bottled beer at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Nationals. This will be one of the most important finals we have been in so wish us luck. If you have yet to try this exceptionally popular ale then pop down to your local to see if it's on the bar. If not you can always pop by and pick up either the cask or bottled versions from our shop.

Competition Time
Last year we ran a name the beer competition. Such were the quality of entries that we ended up choosing not one but three names for our 2010 monthly specials - Startop, Moongazer and Mowing Devil. We have decided to repeat this competition and as such will be announcing prizes and deadlines later on this year. The criteria are (relatively) simple in that any proposed names must be accompanied by a story related to an event, person or place with connections to Hertfordshire (possibly stretching a little further afield), so get thinking now. Worth bearing in mind that when we say 'story', a suitable myth or legend rather than hard facts is acceptable!!

Monthly Special - February
It is hard to believe that we are already into the second month of 2010. As Saint Valentine's Day is almost upon us we thought it fitting to produce a brew for lovers....beer lovers that is. Brewed as traditional brown ale, this flavoursome brew is all about the malt. It has a full body with a sweeter palate and very gentle bitterness and late hop aroma. With all our monthly specials, it is available for a limited period only. Click here to for more information on all Tring Brewery's 2010 monthly specials.

Recipe of the Month
Whilst we hold stock of the fabulous bottled Death or Glory, it would be unforgivable not to grab a couple of bottles for inclusion in this months recipe, Death or Glory Lamb Breast with Herb Crust. Of course you could not bother with the cooking and simply savour the beer!!! Click here to view this and many other recipes using Tring Brewery's fabulous ales.
